AMA Finalists To Be Announced At BBC Broadcasting House

The finalists for the 2025 Asian Media Awards will be revealed at the iconic BBC London Broadcasting House.

Now in their 13th year the awards celebrate achievements in a range of categories in journalism, investigations, TV, radio, stage, online and creative media.

The Official Shortlist Announcement will take place on Tuesday September 23 and will be attended by finalists and event partners.

The finalists’ announcement takes place ahead of the 2025 ceremony in Manchester on Friday October 31.

In London, guests will be welcomed by senior BBC staff who will hear from past winners, finalists as well as panel members.

The ceremony is supported by the University of Salford and honours excellence and innovation within the UK’s South Asian media landscape.

Kate Squire, Senior Head of Content Production for the North West and North East, said: “I’m thrilled the BBC is in partnership with the Asian Media Awards.

“The BBC is for everyone and celebrating our commitment to all communities is a key part of what the BBC is all about.”

Nazia Mogra, Deputy Managing Editor for the BBC in the North West, added: “As an Asian woman and leader at the BBC – as well as a previous nominee – I’m extremely proud to see this partnership in action – it is a powerful step that truly reflects our commitment to serving and celebrating diverse communities across the media.”

An Asian Media Awards spokesperson said: “It is wonderful to be hosting our shortlist announcement at BBC Broadcasting House for the first time.

“The Asian Media Awards shortlist announcement hears from some of the country’s foremost media personalities as well as those starting out in their careers.

“During the past year journalists, broadcasters, writers, bloggers and performers have been at the forefront of highlighting a range of issues. They have also been working to dispel myths and misconceptions about all communities.

“We are looking forward to revealing the finalists ahead of the 2025 ceremony later in October.”
