The Film and TV Charity will be the setting for this year’s Asian Media Awards finalists event.
Now in their 14th year the Asian Media Awards celebrate achievements in a range of categories in journalism, investigations, TV, radio, stage, online and creative media.
The shortlist announcement will take place on Monday 28 September at the Film and TV Charity in Soho.
The Asian Media Awards itself will take place in Manchester on Friday October 30. The ceremony will feature six special awards including a new honour for music.

“Situated in the heart of Soho, our office provides the perfect setting to bring together colleagues, partners, and industry leaders to celebrate outstanding talent and achievement.”

Founded in 1924, the Film and TV Charity has been dedicated to helping those working behind the scenes in the UK’s film, TV, and cinema industry overcome both personal and professional challenges.
Since 2018, the charity introduced the Fim and TV Support Line, a free, 24-hour confidential helpline. This resource provides access to vital services like counselling, legal, and financial advice for everyone in the industry.
The Charity has also launched the Looking Glass Survey which revealed an industry-wide mental health crisis stemming from poor working conditions and toxic workplace culture. In response, the whole Picture Programme was launched, to promote mentally healthy workplaces and to make sure that behind-the-scenes professionals are respected, valued, and supported.
The finalists celebration in the past has been held at BBC Broadcasting House, the offices of Essence MediaCom and ITV Studios.
