One of the biggest stories of the year was named Best Investigation at the 2025 Asian Media Awards.
Journalists and filmmakers joined content creators and actors at the 13th ceremony in Manchester.
The awards celebrate achievements in a range of categories in journalism, investigations, TV, radio, stage, online and creative media.
The ceremony is supported by the University of Salford and took place at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel on Friday (October 31).
The MasterChef Investigation was conducted by Noor Nanji for BBC News
One of the biggest stories of the year and one which dominated the news agenda for months. Following a tip-off about MasterChef host Gregg Wallace, Noor built up case studies and set about corroborating their stories.
Most of the women involved were young female freelancers and were nervous to talk.
As soon as the story broke in November, it led every major news outlet in Britain for days generating massive audience interest.
The investigation continued through the summer when more than 50 more people came forward with fresh claims against the MasterChef Presenter.
Later an inquiry into Wallace’s behaviour upheld dozens of claims against him.
The reports kickstarted a wider debate about workplace behaviour, with women of all levels and shone a light on the difficulty for freelancers in the media industry to speak up.
