Lisa Aziz To Host Finalists Launch In Aid Of Charity

Asian Media Awards judging panel member Lisa Aziz will be hosting the finalists launch at City Hall in aid of Lendwithcare.org.

The event which takes place on Monday 30 September will see the release of the full shortlist for this year’s Asian Media Awards.

Lisa Aziz will be joined by some of the finalists from this year’s awards.

‘’I am delighted to be hosting the finalists launch at City Hall and am really looking forward to seeing the worthy contenders for the first ever Asian Media Awards.

“When I started out newsrooms looked very different to now so I’m delighted to see even more fantastic ethnic minority talent surge through the ranks!’’

Lisa was the first Asian female news presenter on British national television. After joining TV-am in 1988 Lisa went on to become one of the main anchors at Sky News for over ten years. She was also the main news presenter and associate editor with ITV news in the West Country for five years.

Presently, Lisa can be seen and heard on BBC London, LBC 97.3 and ClassicFM. She also heads up Corporate and Individuals fundraising at media charity, tve and is an Ambassador for Daycare Trust and Gingerbread.

The finalists launch is being held in association with Lendwithcare.org and CARE International, the official charity partners for the awards.
