Asian Media Awards 2023 Shortlist Announced

The Asian Media Awards Shortlist has been announced ahead of the 2023 ceremony in October.

The awards will return to Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Friday 27 October.

The University of Salford are premier partners to the Asian Media Awards.

A spokesperson for the awards said: “Each year we are taken aback by the quality of the entries and the shortlisting process this year was more difficult than ever.

“We would like to thank everyone who submitted their work and also our panel who help to recommend stand out projects throughout the year.

“There are again finalists in a wide range of categories showcasing work that reaches worldwide and local audiences and tackles sensitive and/or controversial issues. This despite the distinct challenges they may face.

“The creative and live event industries continue to innovate and the awards have been keen support their efforts through the presentation of a new award.”

In 2023 two new categories will be presented for the first time – The Diversity in Media Award and the Outstanding Stage Performance honour.

The 2023 ceremony will be the ninth celebration to take place at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate and will honour a total of 25 categories of which there will be six special awards.
