AMA 2020 Nominations Open In New Format

The Asian Media Awards will recognise work in a select number of categories in 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuing restrictions it has been necessary to re-evaluate our forthcoming events.

The 2020 ceremony was due to be held in Manchester on Thursday 29 October with a Shortlist Announcement taking place in London on Monday 15 September. These will no longer take place in their present format.

This year’s awards will be made in accordance with government restrictions this Autumn/Winter either in London or digitally. Further details for this will be announced in the summer.

The 2020 Asian Media Awards will be recognising work in the following categories:

Journalism
Journalist of the Year
Best Investigation
Outstanding Young Journalist
Regional Journalist of the Year
Report of the Year

Radio
Best Radio Show
Radio Presenter of the Year

Online
Best Blog

Marketing & PR
Media Agency of the Year

Live Productions
Best Stage Production

Nominations for these categories are now open and work/events must be dated from May 1 2019 to August 20 2020.

The closing date for all entries is 11.59pm Friday 21 August.

The remaining categories will return for the 2021 Asian Media Awards and work for these categories will include submissions over a two-year period dated between May 2019 and August 2021. Nominations for all 2021 categories will open in April 2021.
