Brown Girls Do It Too, a podcast which explores the unspoken experiences of Asian women picked up the first Best Podcast honour at the 2021 Asian Media Awards.
The 9th Asian Media Awards ceremony took place at the Emirates Old Trafford on Friday night (October 29) with Good Morning Britain presenter, Adil Ray and Eastenders star Jaz Deol also amongst the winners.
The 2021 Asian Media Awards are supported by the University of Salford and were hosted by Sky Sports news presenter Bela Shah.
Accepting the award was creator Rayhan Rahman who was presented the prize by AMA panel member and North West Editor at category partners TheBusinessDesk.com, Shelina Begum.

Hosts Poppy and Rubina are joined by an array of guests who share their own experiences about what goes on behind closed doors.
No stone is left unturned in their quest to brazenly go where no Asian talk show host has gone before.
Aimed primarily at underserved young Brit-Asian women, the topics and experiences discussed are often relatable to any young women regardless of background.
In series two, Poppy and Rubina have convinced others, sometimes high-profile women, to let them into their bedrooms.
Guests in the series have included journalist Ash Sarkar, actress Nina Wadia, Brit Asian cam-gal Alicia Sweets and comedian Sadia Azmat.
The podcast sparked a great deal of debate and conversations which was evidenced by the many people who got in touch and thanked Poppy and Rubina for finally reflecting their lives.
A special invitation was also extended to the ten 2020 winners and tributes were paid throughout the night to all those who were unable to be at the awards after a tumultuous 18 months.
